pring? Do you think it's here?
Springue ign in my garden
is the blooming of the Siberian
irises. Now I know our winters
are not as harsh as Siberia, but
these irises are one of the joys of
late Spring anywhere. Last fall I
transplanted some clumps, so I
hope this year's display will be
especially good. Any of my
friends and neighbors who would
like to find out are welcome to
come and see. On the morning
of MAY 20, I will be at home at
739 Jenifer Street, in the garden.
If you are on your way to the
Farmer's Market on the Square,
or out running errands, or just
need an excuse to stop and smell
the flowers, come visit the Si-
berians and rejoice the Winter is
gone. Good strong coffee (Dane
County Norwegian style) and
pastries from the kitchen will
permit a bit of refreshment.
Come as early as 7 am but no
later than 11 am. In case of rain
I'll cut armfuls for the house so
come anyway. No advance re-
sponse needed and all are
welcome.

for example, your generosity, as well as that of your

Congratulations on your far-sighted, committed and
unselfish support of a bill that embodies the most creative
consumer idea of the last generation.
As you know, the Wisconsin CUB is the first in the
nation. That means that citizens and legislators from
all over the country will be watching its progress
closely. I am convinced that if it continues to receive
support like that you gave it over the past few years,
it will not fail to fulfill its potential. Your victory
for the people of Wisconsin will then become a victory
for people all over the country.

Thank you very much for helping to
host the brunch at Dick Wagner's home on
August 8, and especially for your help
with the food.
I appreciate the time and effort
