Mr. Ross Auerbach
2420 Creston Avenue
Bronx, New York 10468
Dear Ross:
I am enclosing copies of Assembly Joint Resolution 40
and Assembly Bills 185, 481, 482, and 587. These bills
pertain to multiple marriage and autizing persons of the
same sex to marry. As you will note, two of these bills
were inspired by Robert H. Rimmer.
Public hearings were held on all of these bills. The
hearing on the first four bills was held on June 25, 1973.
The hearing on Assembly Bill 587 was held on August 8, 1973.
No executive action is planned on these bills in the near
future. When the Legislature resumes in October, I will send
you copies of correspondence which I have had with Mr. Rimmer
relative to this matter.
I certainly enjoyed talking with you.
Justice for all,

Dear Mr. Bornstein:
On behalf of myself and the other members of the Assembly
Judiciary Committee, I would like to thank you for your cooper-
ation and assistance in making it possible for the citizens of
Wisconsin to see as well as hear the proceedings relating to
the hearing on April 24, 1973 which pertained to the extremely
controversial issue of abortion. This hearing covered Assembly
Joint Resolutions 31 and 69 and Assembly Bills 57, 58, 169, 183,
381, 570, 599, 630, 774 and 779.
Members of the Assembly commended me for my chairmanship
of this hearing and for the planning which preceded it.
I am personally most grateful to you and your staff and
wish to commend you for the tremendous assistance you gave the
Judiciary Committee in making this hearing available to the
general public through your television coverage of this event.
I am firmly convinced that without your help and cooperation
the hearing could not have run as smoothly as it did.
If there is any way in which I may be of help to you in
the future, please let me know.
Yours very truly,
LAB:IS
