With this thought in mind the only honest way to approach this matter is to eliminate all laws regulating sexual activities between consenting mature persons. Laws which require policemen to stick their noses into bedrooms, parked cars and restrooms makes degenerates of our policemen. This kind of activity may well cause policemen to seek less than healthy outlets for their own sexual drives. What we seem to be developing here is our own corps of professional "window peekers." I think the elimination of all laws pertaining to individual sexual activity would only help our policemen to maintain healthy outlets for their own sexual drives. In the Committee on Joint Finance I witnessed last week a number of sophisticated bigots complaining about welfare recipients. One concept I think important is that the people who consider themselves the "haves" don't realize that the ostentatious way in which wealthy people live is tempting to poor people. If these wealthy people do not cooperate with those of us who want a better distribution of wealth then the poor will take what they need from the wealthy, whether that taking is by theft or more overt, hostile action such as robbery or destruction of property which is a matter of the degree of frustration and talents of those people who seek to have their fair share of the goods of this world. - 30 - --- LLOYD A. Under the state laws, as they are presently written, certain sexual acts even between husband and wife are forbidden. Unmarried persons are required by law to refrain from all sex until they marry. This kind of law is clearly an unwarranted intrusion into a person's private life. An individual's sexual drive is not diminished by marriage, nor is a person's natural desire for sexual relations affected by criminal laws. With this thought in mind the only honest way to approach this matter is to eliminate all laws regulating sexual activities between consenting mature persons. Laws which require policemen to stick their noses into bedrooms, parks, cars and restrooms makes degenerates out of policemen. This kind of degrading activity may well cause policemen to seek less than healthy outlets for their own sexual drives. What we seem to be devel- oping here is a public corp of professional voyeurs or "peeping toms." In the Committee on Joint Finance I witnessed last week a number of sophisticated bigots complaining about welfare recipients. One concept I think important is that the people who consider themselves the "haves" don't realize that the ostentatious way in which wealthy people live is threatening to poor people. If these rich people do not cooperate with those of us who want a better distribution of wealth and services, the poor will take what they need. This taking may be by theft or stealth. It may take the form of even more hostile action such as robbery or destruction of property. Neona - 30 - --- 04-05-748 The kind of tat Ladivid of LLOYD A. This state has never created an F.B.I. as such, we have not even created a state police, supposedly because of our progressive tradition. I am glad to see that whites are beginning to realize what blacks have known for some time. That is that government officials are not servants of the people but instead they attempt to be their masters and they do harass them; they do engage in surveilance and monitering; and they use threats and intimidation; and they use what people used to call "blackmail" but I call whitemail. The intention on the part of these government officials in this matter is to become worse. --- LLOYD A. I am glad to see that whites are beginning to realize what blacks have known for some time. Government officials are often not servants of all the people but of the establishment. Some officers harass, spy, threaten, extort, abuse and even kill patriotic citizens: witness the assassination of Malcolm X; 29 or more Black Panthers; the slaughter on millions of Black; the spying on Martin Luther King, as a few examples. These nefarious acts will continue until the lovers of liberty recognize modern tyranny and kill it. - 30 - ---
