What are the national sins for which we must repent t? now Just look at what is happening in America right - divorce rates in the United States are now the highest in the world - legalized abortion has cost the lives of approxi- --- - -3- mately 7,000,000 babies in America since 1973 one and one-half million babies will be aborted this year -- this is mass murder - over one million teenagers have serious drinking problems - in the last ten years violent crimes have increased 174% and murder is up 129% - homosexuals are teaching in our schools and preaching from our pulpits - the traditional monogamous family is in danger of extinction during the 1980's America is indeed a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah. I believe God is angry with our nation. While we certainly have energy, economic and military crises -- in reality it is all related to a very serious moral crisis in our country. I am convinced that America can be blessed of God once more -- if America repents of her sin and turns back to God. But we cannot expect unregenerate people to perform this spiritual act. God requires in II Chronicles 7:14 that His people perform the act of national repentance and intercessory prayer for the nation's salvation.
